About Kimberly
I didn't set out to become a bookkeeper. I set out to help people experience the magic of Disney World.
In 2008, my husband Bob and I founded Mouse Tales Travel — a Disney-focused travel agency that grew from just the two of us into a thriving network of independent agents. For over fifteen years, I lived the financial reality of a small travel business from the inside: the commission structures, the vendor payments, the slow seasons that made you question everything, and the busy seasons that somehow still left you wondering where the money went.
Before Mouse Tales, I spent years behind a camera — first as a portrait photographer, then shooting hotels across the country. I know that world too. The gear investments. The inconsistent income. The way creative work doesn't fit neatly into the financial boxes most bookkeepers expect it to.
That combination of experience — travel industry insider and creative professional — is exactly what I bring to Shoreline Ledger Associates. I'm not learning your world on the job. I already live in it.
When I was diagnosed with cancer in 2016, I had just stepped back from day-to-day agency work to focus on the bigger picture. That season of slowing down gave me time to ask a question I'd been too busy to sit with: what do I actually want to do with what I know?
The answer kept coming back the same way. Help the people who are brilliant at what they do but drowning in the business side of it. Give them clarity. Give them breathing room. Be the person in their corner who actually gets it.
That's what I'm here for.
I'm based in Surfside Beach, South Carolina, and I work with travel agencies and photographers across the country. If your books are a mess, I've seen worse. If you don't know where to start, we'll find it together. There is no judgment in this office — only forward.
